GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED
Just like the kids' book tells us, everybody poops. Those of us who share our home with cats are even more aware of it because we're the one scooping said poop. I know I become frustrated when litter doesn't clump and I feel like I have to wear a mask because of all the dust. If I'm going to wear a mask while cleaning the litter box, I want it to be something fun, like a zombie mask or maybe Teen Wolf.
Purina recently sent me a sample of the new Tidy Cats Pure Nature litter to try with my furry brood. What's different about Pure Nature? It's made of naturally absorbant cedar, corn and pine. Speaking of cedar, corn and pine, Tidy Cats launched a fun campaign to go along with this new litter and the spokes-band is called none other than Cedar, Corn and Pine! Watch this funny video and tell me this isn't still embedded in your brain this time next week.
OK, so we tried the new litter and agree the natural scent is fantastic. My daughter even said, "Every time I walk near the litter boxes it smells like Christmas!" When's the last time you said that? It's like that scene from It's a Wonderful Life, when Zuzu says, "Every time a bell rings and angel gets her wings!" Well, our version would be, "Every time a kitty covers her poo, it smells like Christmas day." Or something like that. Whatever the case, it smells good.
The bag claims it is 99.9% dust-free and I'd it's maybe closer to 95%. There's a little dust, but definitely not as much as other brands. It's clumps just fine -- nothing out of the ordinary, but it clumps and that's what's important to me.
Saffy heard about the Cedar, Corn and Pine band and thought maybe she'd like to tag along on tour, but all she had was this sombrero. She decided to hold off and look for a litter whose spokes-band was less country and more mariachi.
