My Cosmo insists on sleeping under the covers with me for at least part of the night. A really big part of me enjoys this, but there are some drawbacks.
Here are the pros and cons of co-sleeping with Cosmo:
Pro: He cuddles up close to me and I rest my hand on his warm fur. Heaven!
Con: His warm fur sometimes makes me sweat like a _______________(fill in with your favorite simile).
Pro: He reaches a little paw up to touch my chin before he falls asleep.
Con: He stays frozen with his paw touching my chin, therefore preventing my movement. Because why would I disturb his peaceful slumber?
Pro: The sound of his gentle purr relaxes me.
Con: He drools when he purrs, thus leaving wet spots in my general sleeping area.
Even though he's a sweat-inducing drool machine, I think I'll keep my bed buddy. Maybe cat drool has some kind of healing properties that haven't yet been discovered. Perhaps lying in drooly wet spots is the best beauty treatment around. If that's the case, then I'm going to look younger every day.
