We all want the best for our cats, right? Castor & Pollux knows that and is dedicated to provide the very best in nutrition for our sweet companions. They recently contacted me and asked if my cats would like to try a few of their products. Saffy and Cosmo are little piggies, but Phoebe is an extremely picky eater and the food we were currently feeding here was getting a lukewarm response. I signed up my trio as official testers and here's what we received from Castor & Pollux:
One bag of ORGANIX Chicken-Flavored Cat Treats
One 5.5lb bag of Natural Ultramix Indoor Cat Food
Four 5.5oz cans of assorted Natural Ultramix stew flavors
According to the Castor & Pollux site:
"We don't mess around when it comes to our ingredients. We carefully choose suppliers for all our high quality foods and treats. The chicken used in our Natural Ultramix and ORGANIX foods comes from Petaluma Poultry (sound familiar? You've probably seen their products on the shelf at high-end natural grocery stores across the country). Our organic ingrendients have no chemical pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, added growth hormones, or antibiotic. And because we want the best for your pets (and ours!), our food contains no corn, wheat or soy, and no artificial colors or preservatives. In other words, we feed your pets the way we feed ourselves."
Saffy and Cosmo eat canned food and loved all flavors of the stew. I was mostly concerned with Phoebe's reaction to the dry food. To our surprise, she absolutely loved it! Seriously, we have tried several types of food (she refuses to eat anything "wet") and have yet to find one she will do anything more than tolerate. She cries for this food all day long, gobbles it up and asks for more. The pieces are small and easily manageable and she obviously enjoys the taste. We are thrilled to find a food she likes so well and plan on making a permanent switch.
Everyone is a fan of the cute little drumstick-shaped treats. And the catnip mouse? Let's just say that was a major hit, especially with Phoebe.
