Cats With Licky Tongues and Spotty Gums are the Best

Every once in a while I catch a delicious licky-tongue pic from one of my cats. Phoebe's looks are sometimes the best because I get a peek at her multi-colored gums, or as I call them "spotty gums." If I had "spotty gums," they wouldn't be nearly as cute as hers. In fact, I might need to schedule an appointment at the "spotty gum" specialist.

My Cat Tucks Herself In

Phoebe doesn't need no stinkin' human to tuck her in. No way. She backs her fuzzy little butt right under those covers and settles. What can I say? She's an independent woman ... with a toasty warm butt!

Prissy Little Kitty Feet

This is why I couldn't get out of bed this morning. Look at those prissy little feet and curly tail! And her belly is just asking for a huff. Of course a huff would result in an up-close-and-personal meeting with those prissy little feet.

But still, I huff.

My Yoga Partner Cat "Helps" Me

Cosmo is my morning yoga partner. And by "partner" I mean interloper. He wants to rub his face all over me while I'm trying to hold a pose, walk back and forth underneath me while I'm Downward Dogging, and then stretch across my mat at his first opportunity. Distracting? Yes, but I'm kind of used to it now. Also, if anyone is looking for a yoga "partner," I'm pretty sure he'd be all over it. I'll put him in touch with you.

My Cat Wants to be a Cat, and She Wins

Me: "Phoebe, I'm trying to make up the bed."
Phoebe: "I'm trying to be a cat."

And so my bed goes unmade ... again.

My Cat Must Like Politics

Cosmo must like politics because he's always looking for a cabinet position. Seriously, if there's an open door, he'll find his way inside and hang out there until he's had enough in-the-dark-time. Then he'll paw at the door until someone releases him. Sometimes I'll happen upon him sitting inside a cabinet ... doing absolutely nothing. Really -- just sitting. Meditating, perhaps? Or maybe taking inventory of my paper products? Who knows!

A few days ago, he wandered inside a bathroom cabinet and Phoebe became exceedingly curious about the whole situation. Of course she had to investigate. Did she walk around and look inside the wide open space? No. Instead she chose to peer over the door, all sneaky like. Maybe she's looking for a career in politics.

My Cat Wants "Wings" Like a Flying Squirrel

Saffy's obsession with the outdoors is fueled by the hungry beasties that gather at the bird feeders on our deck. And we have quite the variety of hungry beasties - squirrels, chipmunks, blue jays, chickadees, finches, sparrows, and the occasional cardinal. Saff's wild chirps can't keep up with all the frantic seed-eating activity on the other side of the door. I'll bet if I opened the screen, she'd jump into the air and swoop across the deck like a giant flying squirrel to get to those guys. She'd even grow those flying squirrel "wings". I'd pay good money to see the wings happen.

Triple T Studios Won Me Over With the Refined Feline Wallet

I'm beyond particular when it comes to wallets. I tend to find the "perfect" one and then use it until it falls apart because, well, it's perfect. I require certain compartments: one for receipts, one for business cards and other misc. small pieces of paper, and one for mystery items that don't seem to belong anywhere. I also must have an adequate number of slots for my driver's license, credit cards, library cards and of course my Costco card. The wallet has to have a decent-sized compartment for coins. A wallet is like a good bra -- it must be a perfect fit.

Aside from being particular regarding wallets, I'm also picky when it comes to cat-themed items, in general. Her offerings are top notch and classy -- just like her!

Two color options!

As I was perusing the merchandise at her CatConLA booth, my eyes fell on the Refined Feline wallet. At first glance, it looked like a nice size, but I questioned its ability to hold my must-carry items. I grabbed one (politely, of course) and unzipped it to find a veritable wonderland of compartments! OK, I was hooked. I needed this wallet, and to be honest, my old was was getting pretty threadbare. Joanne agreed to send me a wallet to try. Of course, I was thrilled at the prospect of a new wallet! I couldn't wait to see if it would be as perfect as a well-fitted bra.

I received the package and quickly transferred all my important wallet cargo from the old to the new one. Guess what? It all fit, and I was even able to zip without completely busting the cute little bag. The site claims most cell phones fit inside the wallet, and my iPhone 6 did indeed fit. There's a removable strap for the wallet, so you can leave the strap on and carry it as a small purse -- cell phone and all. Cool!
