CatConLA Was a Blast -- Get Your Signed Texts from Mittens Book!

Wow! I had a fantastic time at CatConLA last weekend, and just now feel like I'm catching up. I took tons of pics, which you can see here.

The vendors were phenomenal, the people-watching was fantastic, and over 70 cats were adopted through CatConLA and Best Friends Animal Society!

Plus, Francesco Marciuliano and I presented "Humor ... With Cats" to a crowd of hundreds -- it was so much fun!

If you didn't get a chance to make it to CatConLA this year (yes, there's one planned for 2016!), and would like a personalized copy of Texts from Mittens, you can buy one directly from me for the low, low price of $14 (including U.S. shipping -- ask about int'l).

Send me an email: angie@angie-bailey.com.

Hope to see you there next year!

My Cat Thinks He's Scary ... Um, No

Just landed in LA yesterday, in preparation for CatConLA (you can still get tickets, by the way). Super pumped to present and sign Texts from Mittens books on Sunday!

It was definitely hard to leave my boy Cosmo, who acts like a lost little kitten when I'm not around. He tried to intimidate me into staying, but with no good results. Sorry, bud -- I do not fear that face.

CatConLA is Almost Here!

Hey! CatConLA is right around the corner, and I'm excited to co-present a session called "Humor ... With Cats" with New York Times bestselling author, Francesco Marciuliano. You probably know him best from his hysterical book, I Could Pee On This: And Other Poems by Cats.

Guess who else is going to be there? Lil Bub herself, as well as Simon from Simon's Cat, and many more cool people and cats. Plus, there will be tons of vendors will super-cool cat stuff to sell. You know you need more super-cool cat stuff, right?

I hope to see some of you there! And if you can't make it, please share with your friends in the LA area.

Texts from Mittens Book and #CatConLA!

Lots of exciting news this week! I finally got my hands on an advance copy of my Texts from Mittens book, and it looks beautiful. I'm so excited to share it with you. It officially releases on March 31, but you can pre-order it on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or wherever you buy books.

Here's a peek at the finished product. Click photos for larger images.

It's a hardcover, which I think is cool.

Love the blurbs in text-style.

The page numbers? Eeeeee!

The cute little rear end.

Also, the CatConLA tickets went on sale yesterday -- how cool is that? I'm super excited to co-present with Francesco Marciuliano at the star-studded event (Lil Bub and Simon of Simon's Cat are headlining), and will also sign copies of the Mittens book. Hope to see some of you in June -- get your tickets here.

Get ready -- June 6 & 7, 2015, The Reef in downtown Los Angeles will host the first ever CatConLA! It's like Comic-Con, but for cat people. Sound too good to be true? Well, it's not. It's real and it's going to be the coolest 2-day celebration of groundbreaking products and ideas in art, design, pop culture and attitude ... for cat lovers!

The conference will be part expo, part symposium and will not only showcase some of the world's top cat-centric merchandise (over 150 exhibitors are expected, with all wares for sale to the public), it will also feature some of the top names in feline pop culture. Headlining CatConLA will be Simon Tofield of "Simon's Cat," and Mike Bridavsky, along with the one-and-only Lil Bub!

I'm thrilled to be on the advisory board of CatConLA, along with Kate Benjamin, founder of Hauspanther and co-author of  Catification with Jackson Galaxy; Keith Bowers, senior editor at Catster and Dogster; and Scott Stulen, creator and producer of the Cat Internet Video Festival. And the mastermind behind the whole conference is Susan Michals, a journalist and producer who writes about the intersection of art, culture and celebrity. She's also the creator of the successful Cat Art Show Los Angeles.

Additional confirmed speakers include:
