My Cats Aren't Even Italian

This is an old photo of Saffy. I posted it a year or two ago and someone went after me for feeding my cat pizza. For the record, my cats probably don't even like pizza. They're not even Italian.

A Cat's Need for Speed

Phoebe has a secret life ... and a need for speed.

Cats Curse Our Drinking Devices

Having cats, we know they tend to be big tippers, right? It takes us humans a while to figure things out sometimes, but after a few liquid catastrophes, we know something has to happen. We're not about to stop drinking liquids, so instead we decide it might be a smart idea to use a cup or a bottle with a lid. Cats curse our lidded drinking devices, not only because they can no longer dip a paw inside or tip them over, but because they know we won that one.

The Dog Days of Dating

I don't know, Phoebe ... he looks pretty dapper to me.

Cosmo Visits the Copacabana

I was just skimming through some silly old Catladyland funnies and ran across this completely ridiculous one. It still makes me laugh. A whole lot.

Cats and Guilt Do Not Mix

Cats never feel the need to explain themselves.

Sometimes a cat needs an intervention.

Cat Truth #117: Cats Don't Hide Their Feelings

Cats are a little (a lot) egocentric and seem to think anything and everything must be for them. And when they learn they don't have ownership over something, they get miffed. Cats are not that great at hiding their feelings.

A Tail of a "Sneaky" Cat and Cool News From Friends!

Cats think they're super-duper sneaky; however, some of their skills in this area leave a little to be desired. I think Phoebe needs to go back to Hiding 101.

And before I let you go, I have some exciting news to share with you! My friends Robbin and Joseph Everett's Pet Podcast Channel will celebrate their 100th episode today! Their Pets Teach Us So Much radio show is broadcast live every Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in the Eastern time zone.

It's funny, informative and a must-listen for pet lovers. I've been a guest on their show a couple of times and will tell you that it's impossible to frown when you're around Robbin and Joseph. If you like Catladyland, then you will totally get their crazy humor.

Joseph and Robbin, you will LOVE them!

You can listen to their 100th show tonight -- and every Thursday -- by clicking here to jump over to Blog Talk Radio. Remember to bookmark the page, because you will definitely want to come back! To learn more about Joseph, Robbin and TPPC, be sure to visit their site!

Congrats, you two!!

My Cat is a Sore Loser

I'm a total word game junkie -- I especially like timed games because I work best under pressure. Comes from years of procrastination.  Today a friend is coming over to play Bananagrams with me and I was reminded of a a day that I played Boggle with Saffy. I might suggest that you never engage her in a game of any kind. She's such a sore loser.

Cats Hear Us -- They Just Choose to Ignore Us

Do you ever notice that sometimes when we're talking to cats, they do their best to pretend they don't hear us, yet they cock an ear or twitch a tail so we totally know they hear everything we're saying to them? It's kind of a burn, don't you think? It'd be one thing if we really thought they didn't hear us, but it's a completely separate level of feline indifference, blatant disregard and sort-of sarcasm when we know they hear us. Sillypants cats.

I Guess My Cat Watches Everyone Bathe

Cosmo loves to watch me bathe and shower, and now I see he watches everyone bathe. I don't feel quite so special anymore.

My Cat Likes Big Boxes and He Cannot Lie

Cats are easily confused with human lingo, and understandably so.

My Cat Plopped Her Butt on Farrah's Face

This one is from a long time ago. I don't post ballon-conversation-style comics on Catladyland anymore, but just ran across this one and it made me laugh. I love Phoebe's face in the second panel. She's so full of herself and would totally plop her butt on Farrah's face.

My Cats Cooperate ... Sort-of

When I had the idea for this photo, I thought there was no way my cats would line up in boxes. Silly me, boxes are cat magnets and a little sprinkle or catnip doesn't hurt. But I suppose I was dreaming when I thought they'd line up in ascending order. I guess with cats, you take what you can get, right?

Cat Truth #877: Cats Like to "Help."

Cats love to "help" us with projects. Anytime I pull out craft supplies, the sewing box, gift-wrapping gear or anything that looks remotely interesting, my three nosy cats are all over the scene. They study everything I do and walk over, swat at and sleep on top of my supplies. They must really think we are helpless. Or just simple-minded. Thank goodness for their able paws.

Smells Like Cat Food ... Or Butt

Her tongue either smells like cat food, cat fur, or her own butt. Or, really, another cat's butt.

Pillow Talk With My Cat

This is what my pillow looks like when I wake up in the morning.  I could only make this scenario more realistic to by adding the sound of Cosmo licking the wrought iron on the headboard.  Close your eyes and imagine...Good Morning!
