Bacon-Lurker Cat/Two Companies Make a Difference for Animals

Good News Alert! Last week, Nestlé Purina and Fry's Food Store (a division of The Kroger Co.) awarded $155,894 to 17 animal welfare organizations in the fourth annual Tales of a Pet Lover's Heart campaign, which celebrates the bond between people and animals. Pet lovers were invited to submit personal pet stories and photos for a chance to win a year's worth of groceries from their local Kroger store, a year's supply of Purina pet food, and have a $50,000 donation made in their name to a participating animal welfare organization.

Animals Benefit Club was the grand prize winner and received a check for $55,883. The remaining 16 participating animal welfare organizations each received a donation of $5,883: $5,000 for participating in the campaign, plus $1 for each pet tale shared online at Tales for the Pet Lover's Heart.

Thanks to Nestlé Purina and Kroger for helping make a difference in the lives of animals!
