In the future, I will probably purchase the unscented type, just because I normally prefer odorless litter; although, as mentioned above, the lavender-scented litter was not over-the-top and I personally love the smell of lavender.

Today I am jumping on a plane and heading to the Cat Writers' Association conference in White Plains, New York. And of course, suitcases are cat magnets.

Cat Drool = Love

Cosmo is my baby and he adores me more than anyone else in the whole world. Seriously, he follows me when I'm home, desperately pounds on doors that separate us, and he stares. Boy, does he stare at me! Sometimes it's unsettling, but I suppose I am now used to that sense that someone is watching me.  He enjoys loafing in my lap while I work, all the time purring and drooling.  I constantly wipe his little mouth and try and lay a towel under his chin.

As needy as he is, I have to say I love it. As fervently as his eyes pierce the space between us, I wouldn't have it any other way. The buckets of happy, satisfied saliva he dribbles on my new pants only make me want to kiss his drippy little kitty lips all the more.

I am officially enamored.
